I used to go to Satellite before they consolidated and initially met Juan there...and I've been going back to him ever since. Vixx is an extra five minutes walk for me but it's well worth it, and when Juan isn't around Adrian is, who does just as good of a job. Best barbers for short hair cuts around I've had and the only ones I've ever requested specifically.

Kristina at Vixx is an excellent hairstylist! I actually followed her from her last salon because she's just that good. She helped me come back from a horrible haircut from another stylist (layers started at the top of my neck, my longest layers were mid-back... HELP). Kristina always manages to give me tons of volume and body even with my long, fine hair. I always feel like a bombshell for weeks after she cuts my hair. She is super capable and efficient, and gives me exactly the look I'm hoping for every time. Definitely give Kristina a try, you won't regret it.

I got a undercut fade from this spot a couple times now, and each time I've been greatly impressed with the lineups.
My last cut was from Krisitna, who not only was quick to understand what cut I wanted, but also a joy to talk to!

2023 Update: Anthony (aka Chauncy) is so detail oriented and consistent. I had this man cut my hair for my wedding and keep coming back. I did have less perfect an experience when I tried another Vixx barber, but they all are skilled at their craft, and youll leave satisfied.

Biggs is the man! I showed up incredibly upset because another salon gave me one of the worst haircuts of my life. Biggs sat me down, promised me he was gonna fix the other places screw-up, and kept his promise. I left Vixx incredibly satisfied and happy with the service I received. upon a last minute decision to get a haircut (that was long overdue), I made a same day appointment with Chris. She welcomed me on time, and began asking me questions about my hair, like what I liked and didn't like about it and when in my life I liked my hair the most and why. No one has every asked me these questions, and in thinking of a response, I realized that I've been getting trims and foil highlights for years without ever really enjoying the results. (this is not to say that the stylists didn't do a phenomenal job, and I got many compliments), but I realized that I've been doing that more on auto-pilot than for what I personally wanted. We then talked about what haircut to get. Chris listened to my input and made some excellent recommendations herself. I left the place liking my hair once again, and I'm coming back. Chris is so experienced and knowledgeable. The salon is clean, but it's a no-thrills type of place. You'll get excellent care and love the results. And no one tried to sell me anything, although Chris did make general product recommendations. I didn't feel pressured.

She knows what shes doing and you can tell shes had a lot of experience with all types of hair, which is something I worry about being someone with thick 3C curls. Danie is the best !! She cut my hair into a bob about a year ago and it was fabulous ! And after it had grown out for that whole year I went back to her for a trim. She evened out my hair nicely added some long layers and didnt take too much off the length. My hair feels so healthy and looks amazing ! SHE IS THE BEST !!

I went to Satellite for a cut and blow dry and Candice did an AMAZING job! I never write reviews but this was the best haircut I have gotten since moving to Boston and also such a good price that I had to write one!! I always get anxious going to salons but Candice was so friendly and made me feel super comfortable the whole time. She spent time cutting my hair to how I wanted it and took her time styling it after. I will be moving out of the area soon but will definitely take the time to come back to Satellite for my next haircut.

Candice is my dream hair stylist!!! Both times she did my hair I asked her to change it and do something risky (platinum blonde balayage or bangs) and she did everything I asked for and made it look even better than I imagined. This was my first time coming to Satellite, and I will definitely be back! My friendly stylist Kristina understood exactly what I was hoping for with my inspiration pictures, and gave me a layered cut that looks great styled or air dried. She was fast and precise, and cheerfully made several adjustments at the end to make sure it was just how I wanted it. And the price was amazing! $50 for a shampoo, cut, and blow dry. I highly recommend Satellite salon and Kristina in particular.

After deciding to transition from my relaxed hair to natural I had to find a new stylist! I found Sharon and the convenience was great at the time since she was 5 minutes away from house! However after our first appointment she moved to this fabulous salon and I wasnt sure if I was gonna make it work. But from the first time she did my silk press it was perfect! And her energy was so welcoming and kind. As someone who is definitely a homebody and avoids normal services due to anxiety, I feel comfortable and excited to see Sharon every month! I will never be going to a different stylist for ANYTHING!

I love this salon! There is no other salon in Boston that has better pricing and friendly/well trained staff. I went in for a blowout and to fix bangs that were poorly done by another salon, and I left the salon extremely pleased with how my hair looked. Not only was the blowout the cheapest I have found in Boston, but it was also under 45 minutes. Highly recommend to all.

I was ready to try something new with my hair after trying use chemicals on my already bleached hair. I waited 4 months for my hair to grow out from skin bald. I decided I wanted color it and add fingerwaves. I began my stylist search and after a month of looking I came across the salon and Sharons Instagram. I knew I had found someone who would understand my vision and bring it to life. Not only did she understand the assignment but she knocked it out of the ball park. I am absolutely in love with my color and the way my fingerwaves turned out. I cant wait to come back for touch ups as the weather warms up!

Had an appointment with Biggs today! Everything was excellent; he was easy to talk to and super friendly, and made my hair look amazing. I got a fade and he did a sweet design on the side of my head. He has convinced me to stop going to Supercuts and spend a little extra to get a truly fire haircut. 10/10, go to Biggs for any shaved head designs or a truly excellent barber experience!

I tried out Vixx Salon for the first time today and I have to say that the service was outstanding! I had a partial foil done and Im very happy with it. Also, the place looks beautiful and clean and everyone was wearing a mask which is a plus!!!

Not only was Jess super friendly and spunky, she helped me decide what's best for my hair and we laughed and had a great conversation! My hair was clean cut and professionally trimmed! I came just for a trim but it became more than that! She's my go-to hair dresser now!

She always takes really good care of my hair and works fast! Overall, Vixx is affordable, clean, and the staff is really nice!!

Last week I went to Vixx for the first time to get a haircut and I will definitely be a regular customer from here on out. Colleen was extremely attentive and made sure I was looking clean and pristine just in time for Christmas. She knew exactly what to do and made me feel comfortable the entire time. Definitely go see her if you are in need of a nice fade, she will make sure youre in tip top shape. The decor and overall look of the salon is also super cool, unique, and unlike most barber shops/salons. I've been getting my hair cut regularly here for a long time, even since before the name changed from 333 Salon to Vixx, mostly because Jody is awesome. She is super knowledgeable with suggestions and flexible with adjustments I sometimes want to make to my hairstyle, and she does an A+ job. Definitely check out Jody if you're looking to get anything done with your hair here! The prices at Vixx are not the absolute cheapest (now $30 for a scissor cut), but given price increases everywhere these days I think they're very reasonable given the quality of haircuts I get. The online reservation system is convenient as well.

Last week I went to Vixx for the first time to get a haircut and I will definitely be a regular customer from here on out. Colleen was extremely attentive and made sure I was looking clean and pristine just in time for Christmas. She knew exactly what to do and made me feel comfortable the entire time. Definitely go see her if you are in need of a nice fade, she will make sure youre in tip top shape. I always had a good experience. I have complicated hair and most of the time they did a really good job! In my opinion fair pricing, too. Staff is nice..... but sometimes they can be too focused talking to each other.

Kris is the most holistic technician ive ever had! I had to wait a little while, but once I sat in the chair, I understood why. I got the exact haircut I wanted and learned so much about hair during the process, and how hair care is so important to self care and so on. On my way out, I got a scalp massager for washing my hair and a bottle of unwash. Loved having my hair done by Kris <3

I didnt get a chance to make an appointment and just walked in yesterday and they were very accomodating because tbe place looked busy! Also, i have been here before but it looks much nicer than the old place! Glad to see that most of the crew is still here...Anyway, Chauncy killed it with the bald fade.

First time here and we were running late... But Scott was really kind over the phone with me and said we can still come through and he will help is out! My boyfriend had a great time and haircut from him and I was paired up with Jess! I. HAD. SUCH. A. GREAT. TIME! Not only was Jess super friendly and spunky, she helped me decide what's best for my hair and we laughed and had a great conversation! My hair was clean cut and professionally trimmed! I came just for a trim but it became more than that! She's my go-to hair dresser now!

Jessica did a fantastic job cutting my daughter's hair, and for a salon in the city you can't beat the price!

I moved up to Boston for school and was anxious to find a new hair stylist that was close by, but thankfully I found this place! I go to Jody for a natural blow dry/style and shes awesome. She always takes really good care of my hair and works fast! Overall, Vixx is affordable, clean, and the staff is really nice!!

I wanted to find a good barber/salon after growing my hair long over the past year. I highly recommend the chill, friendly atmosphere of Vixx. Tay is incredibly friendly and did a great job with recommendations and helping me learn while giving me a great haircut.

Kenny, the only one I let ever touch my beard. Ive been following him around for decades! Wherever he goes I go. Thats loyalty, in its truest form. Kenny and I go way back. He was also the first person to shape my beard when I first started growing it out. See I was going bald and I wanted something to be proud of. So I went to the shop and Kenny talked me into building that identity. Im glad he did. One of the best conversationalist Ive met in my life. Stories on stories. And the kid does a nasty fade!
